Deep, Soulful Sounds.. I am sucker for new music.
Dj Linda is house music junkie, started listening to the sounds way back in the late 80's the likes of Black Box, Chaka Khan, London Beat, Ten City, Inner City, Banderas, Resse Project to name a few. I started mixing in 1998 while at University in Durban.
Moved from CD to Vynils in 1999, thanks to House Afrika, SugarTraxx (Now SoulCandi) and Syndicate Records (now BeatStreet) for bringing the sounds to the South Africa.
My return to Joburg in 2000 saw my inauguration into the Joburg Club scene, I've played, featured and was resident some of these clubs: Calabash (Benmore), Gemini, New Concept, 115, Horror Cafe, Tandoor (Yeoville), Voodoo Lounge, The Rock (Water Front) to name a few.
Participated in the Mad Half Hour in 2001 losing in the semi Finals to my man Dj Zakes, I love you dogg. Contested nd Won the Redbull Challenge (Academy) 2002. Teatured in a lot of local DJ events.
